Across Maharashtra, there are many versions of Poha. Kanda poha, Batata poha, many more. Poha is also known as aval, avalakki, atukulu which is flatten rice is staple in India. The ease of preparing this dish makes it perfect for breakfast. Many versions of poha are also had as snacks. One such version is Dadpe Poha. This Maharashtrian recipe of poha is a healthy version of breakfast or we can have it as a quick snack . Basically it is prepared with white flatten rice but here I have used red flatten rice instead of white. Unlike white, red rice doesn't undergo excessive processing, and as such the other bran layer remains intact, which is rich in fibre,vitamin B, and minerals. Poha is also a good option for those who cannot consume gluten as it is gluten free.
